Newsletter Dec 2007

A Happy Christmas and Healthy New Year to all of you from the League Committee.

 Apologies for being late with your newsletter and I’ll try and do better next time!  Being late, means that some of the items included have a very short shelf life and need a quick response from yourselves to get your entries in, notably the Mona Dawe Divisional Championships. The event takes place on Sunday 27^th January 2008 at the St.Austell Table Tennis Centre at Tregorrick. Entry forms have been distributed to your club secretaries and the closing date for entries is Monday 14^th January 2008.

Also with a 14^th January closing date is the Best Pairs Knockout Competition, and, as they say, you gotta be in it to win it, so get your entries to both competitions in right away and good luck.

 Reminder to Team Captains/Secretaries

The League Results secretary reports that match scorecards are still being returned late. All cards should be posted so that they arrive no later than the Tuesday after that weeks match. It would also make the job of results secretary very much easier if the match cards were completed fully. We are hearing of cards with no surnames given and no Home or Away wins entered, which leaves the secretary having to guess. So come on everyone, give the guy a break, fill the cards in properly!!
